THE FIRST MEETING WITH STUDENTS EXPECTED TO GRADUATE

In cooperation with the Academic Guidance Committee and the Plans and Schedules Committee at the English Language Department, the Student Activities Committee held in the VIP Hall, on Thursday, 30/04/1436 AH corresponding to 19/02/2015 AD the first meeting with students expected to graduate. The meeting was attended by the Head of the Department Dr. Murad Shboul, Mr. Hussein Batayneh, Mr. Salim Abdul Hadi, and Mr. Ahmed Al nawafleh. Several issues regarding the graduation stage and post graduation were discussed with the students, which include: 1- Concentrating on learning and exerting hard work in the final semester to raise the students’ grade point average (GPA). 2 Conducting effective training courses to prepare the students for international tests (IELTS and TOEFL) within the Faculty, in addition to other basic courses related to computer science (ICDL) or to communication skills or preparing a resume. 3- Finding an effective mechanism to communicate with students after graduation in order to help them in any matters they need, especially applying for various jobs, and providing sound advice and support. 4- The matter of students’ absence: the students suggested to be given a period of one week in order to submit their excuses, medical or otherwise, before registration and installing and locking the absence on the website. 5- Summer semester: the students suggested the materials they need in order to graduate in a timely manner. At the conclusion of the meeting, different opinions, views and suggestions were raised, and some posts and observations were discussed
