ZULFI COLLEGE OF EDUCATION HOLDS A TRAINING SESSION ON BUILDING UP SELF-CONFIDENCE AND SPREADING THE CULTURE OF DIALOGUE

Presenters: Dr. Ahmed Muslim Abu-Thweib, Dr. Hamza Al-Ayasrah. Title: Building up Self-Confidence and Spreading the Culture of Dialogue. Room: f122. Date: 19/01/1438 AH. Target group: college students. Objectives: 1- Educating students on the importance of self-confidence and how it is the key to success. 2- Explaining how self-confidence produces productive people, who provide their communities with competencies and various skills. Since a confident individual doesn’t hesitate to serve his community, which contributes to the advancement of the society at large. 3- Identifying the effects of healthy self-confidence. 4- Identifying the negative effects resulting from the lack of self-confidence. 5- Offering the students some rules and guidelines for gaining self-confidence which also help in spreading the culture of dialogue among them. In collaboration with the Educational Sciences Department at the college, the Academic Advising Unit held a training session titled "Building up Self-Confidence and Spreading the Culture of Dialogue", in Zulfi Colleges Complex Theater. Both Dr. Ahmed Muslim Abu-Thweib and Dr. Hamza Al-Ayasrah presented the session as part of the unit’s action plan. At first, they explained to the students the concept of self-confidence and its importance in building up their personalities. Then, they talked about the role of self-confidence in spreading the culture of dialogue among students. At the end of the session, both faculty and students praised them on their presentation, and recommend further sessions that directly pertain to the students. Such activities develop productive thinking and comprehension of critical concepts, and spread moral culture among the students.
