Zilfi College of Education Holds Second Scientific Research and Innovation Week

Under the patronage of the college dean Dr. Rashed bin Hmoud AL Thanyan, the supervision and follow up of the college vice dean for graduate studies and scientific research Dr. Saad bin Abdullah AL Mahmud and within the college support of Majmaah University orientation to boost the qualitative value of research, being the most important activity of higher education and the central activity of universities performed by departments and research centers, and basing on the university orientations and the priority it gives to research and publication the Zilfi College of Education held the second edition of the research and innovation week as one of its priorities to develop research and as a concrete step to instill scientific methods in future plans of research activity in college. The event took place on 25 up to 28/7/1437 H in the theater of the female section to meet college orientation to develop the professional and research skills of faculty and enable them to face the novelties achieved in the field.This research week had a number of objectives, which are: 1. Highlighting the outcomes of faculty sponsored and non-sponsored research inside and outside university. 2. Exhibiting the scientific production of excellent faculty, top practical research to endorse scientific cooperation, exchange experience between faculty members in different departments. 3. Founding a channel through which the community sees the potentials of research and researchers in Zilfi college of education. 4. Raise the level of consciousness on the importance of research and its outcomes and contribute to the setting up of a research environment that attracts competent cadres and spread research novelties and achievements among community members. The importance of this research week was manifested in: 1. Highlighting the importance and role of research in developing the community and catering for its needs in the light of the knowledge economy. - 2. Supporting and developing research and shedding light on its importance and its role in presenting the college potential to community and what services it can provide in numerous fields. 3. Strengthening the skills of faculty by organizing a number of workshops related to the skills and basics of research. The event targeted faculty members, college students, people interested in research and included many programs such as presentation of research, training sessions, seminars, discussions, workshops etc. The event included also an exhibition of scientific flyers, stickers, banners, brochures on college faculty scientific production and student research.
