On Monday 13/04/2015 at 9:30 am, the astronomical observatory received a delegation of Abo Baker Seddiq Primary and Middle School students in Rawdet Sudair under the supervision of both Mr. Yasser Al-Bekheet and Mr. Saleh Al-Harbi. Director of Astronomical Observatory Department Mr. Abdullah Aba Hussein and Public Relations Officer Mr. Ahmad Al-Ghayama along with the Observatory employees welcomed the visiting delegation. Students and their supervisors toured the Astronomical Exhibition Facility before listening to explanations of astronomical telescopes, solar group, moon phases, nebulae, and galaxies by Dr. Sabri Ali and Mr. Abdullah Al-Khediri. The astronomical expert at the Observatory Mr. Abdullah Al-Khediri pointed out the real and apparent movement of the moon making various phases of at the beginning and end of the month. Eclipse and ellipse were also illustrated. The delegation then visited the Planetarium where they watched the distribution and movement of stars along with visual illustration of planets and star groups in the observatory sky inside the Planetarium. At the end of the visit, the visitors expressed their admiration for the observatory together with their appreciation for the good hearty reception and hospitality.
