ZULFI COLLEGE OF EDUCATION HOLDS A TRANING SESSION ON SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND PUBLISHING STANDARDS IN PEER-REVIEWED JOURNALS

Zulfi College of Education held a training session titled (Scientific Research and Publishing Standards in Peer-Reviewed Journals). The session took place on Sunday, 25/11/1437 AH, in the College Theater, and was presented by Dr. Omayma Al-Noor Saeed. Goals: 1- Defining scientific research. 2- Identifying the methods of international publishing in ISI journals. 3- Scientific publishing rules and guidelines. Content: Zulfi College of Education held a session on scientific research and publishing methods in peer-reviewed journals presented by Dr. Omayma Al-Noor Saeed. The session was attended by the Dean of the College, Dr. Rashid bin Hmoud Al-Thanayan, the Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Dhafer Ahmad Al-Qarni, and the Vice-Dean for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Saad bin Abdullah Al-Mahmoud, as well as the college faculty members. Dr. Omayma began the session by defining scientific research, explaining the importance of publishing papers, and identifying several peer-reviewed types of journals interested in publishing scientific research. After that, she described various methods of international publishing in ISI journals. She explained that ISI journals are organizations consisting of researchers responsible for identifying the best scientific journals from various countries around the world. This process is carried out via an IT system that is adopted and organized according to specific basis determined by data from the journals in question, in order to portray a true image of the scientific level for each field. Finally, Dr. Omayma talked about publishing standards and the nominal value of scientific journals. She also provided a detailed explanation on measuring impact factors (IF), and publishing policy in any scientific journal.
