Zulfi College of Education Holds a Training Session on Family Pressures & Mentally Disabled Children

Zulfi College of Education held, on Monday 29/04/1437 AH at 1 pm, a training session titled “Family Pressures & Mentally Disabled Children” in the College building. Target Group: Faculty members and students. Location: The amphitheater. Objectives: 1. Educating trainees on the pressures faced by families of mentally disabled children. 2. Explaining the sources of stress among families of mentally disabled children. 3. Learning the responses of such families to pressure and how to overcome it. 4. Learning how to help families to live and cope with their mentally disabled children and to take advantage of their remaining capabilities and potential by helping them to develop their capabilities through training and practice in order to mentally them into society. Topics: 1.The definition of pressure. 2. The difference between pressure and other concepts. 3. Types of pressure. 4. Social and psychological pressure faced by families of mentally disabled children. 5. Sources of pressure on such families. 6. Determinants of social and psychological pressures on such families. 7. The effects of pressure on such families. 8. Methods of dealing with social and psychological pressure resulting from the child's disability.
