WORKSHOP ON EXTERNAL REVIEW AND HOW TO CREATE IMPROVEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT PLANS

Date: Tuesday 08/02/1438 AH, 10:00 am. Location: female campus theater. Target group: faculty members. Attendance: five members (the workshop was held by the Planning and Development Unit). Trainer: Dr. Majeda Hossam Al-Din, a faculty member at the Educational Sciences Department. Documentation: photos taken by the Media Department at the college. Objectives: 1- To define the concept of internal and external reviews. 2- Explaining how to prepare for quality committees’ field visit. 3- Describing the role of teamwork in achieving quality requirements. Content: In this workshop, the trainer: 1. played a video of teamwork for birds titled (dukes). 2. Explained the basic differences between external and internal reviews. 3. Described the tasks of the external review team. 4. Demonstrated how to use information forms, such as the interview form and the note card. 5. Described how to create improvement plans for programs and departments. 6. Explained the importance of improvement plans and their goals. The workshop was supervised by the Planning and Development Unit.
