Prepared by: Hajar Al-Basheer Date: Wednesday, 02/02/1438 Place: Room 16 Target Group: Students Lecture Objectives: 1- Urging students to avoid deviant behavior and bad company. 2- Following in the footsteps of the prophet regarding manners and good behavior. 3- Illustrating the benefits of good manners in society. 4- Explaining the way to show good manners. 5- Showing evidence from the Holy Quran and Prophet’s teachings for good manners. 6- Explaining that pride is in good manners only, not in family affiliations, appearances or clothes because people can show these manners by themselves. The Faculty of Arabic Language held a lecture about the good manners that students should have at the University. The presenter defined good manners, its sources and implications on society. “Manners are very important in Islam, as it is one of the pillars of any nation, which determines to a large extent the level of communication among its members,” Dr. Hajar pointed out. She also explained, “Manners are reflected on mutual respect, obedience to parents, preserving good relationships with relatives and doing good deeds to neighbors.” Unit of Public Relations (Annexed Building)
