Delegation From Deanship of E-learning and Distance Learning Visits College of Education in Zulfi

The Deanship of E-learning organizes a series of visits to the colleges of the university. It started its program for this year 1436/1437 with a visit to the College of Education in Zulfi. A delegation from the Deanship, headed by His Excellency the Vice Dean Dr. Khalid Al-Mudaibry and a number of the deanship staff: His Excellency the Director of the Operating Systems Unit, the Director of the Educational Programs Unit and the artistic and technical assistance team. The delegation was received by the Dean of the College of Education in Zulfi, Dr. Rashid Bin Hamoud Al-Thunayan; the Vice Dean for Educational Affairs, Dr. Dhafer Bin Ahmed Al-Qarni; and His Excellency the Supervisor of the E-learning Unit as well as its coordinators in the Csaollege. The delegation showed the pioneering academic experience of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, which was presented by Dr. Kamal Smida. This experience was within the Successful Academic Experiences Program in Hotat Sadir last year, achieving a high rate of success (more than 99%) and winning the admiration of the attendees. The deanship recommended that the idea be spread to the rest of the colleges of the University to benefit from it. As a matter of fact, the idea has been approved within the deanship action plan for the current academic year in order to activate the E-learning Management System in the learning process. It is also adopted to create an interactive environment between teaching staff members by establishing a team of virtual activation as well as a virtual course to activate the system which includes all teaching staff members in the college. The members are divided into groups according to the classes belonging to them; the professor assigns to them certain exercises and activities which guarantee the activation of the member to the system tools so every learner should give his inscribed reply to implement the activity; the rest will be evaluated by the end of the academic year. Besides, how to benefit the College of Education from this experience and its application and follow-up steps were all discussed, in addition to guarantee of its optimal performance, by taking advantage of the artistic and technical assistance from the deanship as well as the vigorous attention of his Excellency the Dean of the College. We ask Allah for success.
