COLLEGE OF EDUCATION IN ZULFI HOLDS A WELCOMING CEREMONY FOR FRESHMEN.
The College of Education in Zulfi held a welcoming ceremony for the freshmen of the new academic year 1436/1437 AH. on Sunday, 8/11/1436 AH in the presence of the Vice-Dean for Student Affairs, faculty members, department heads and all units of the college along with its employees and around 125 female students. The purpose of the meeting was to inform first-year students on the nature of university life, which represents the first steps in their future careers, as well as introducing freshmen to Disciplinary Regulations and the College system. Among the objectives of the event as well was introducing the departments and encouraging students to participate in activities offered by the college .The ceremony started with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran followed by a welcome speech by the vice-dean of Student Affairs Department who urged students to uphold the morality and teachings of Islam and work hard in their respective fields. The vice-dean added that she will always pay heed to students, as she believes in open-door policy asking every student encountering a problem to go to the relevant departments to solve it. The Admission and Registration Supervisors talked then about the dropping and addition of courses. The floor was then given to the coordinator of the Preparatory Year Program and to the coordinator of Academic Counselling.At the end of the reception, students were offered a file including important information such as the guidebook and the study plan of each section.
