Academic Advising
The Quality and Student Support Unit at the Department of Arabic Language in the Faculty of Education in Zulfi held a lectureon on Monday, 03/05/1438 at 10:30 at classroom NO. 35 in the Female Section Building entitled “ Academic Advising”. Dr. Fawziay Abdul-Samie gave the lecture to a large number of students. The lecture aimed at: • Introduction of academic advising and its significance in higher education institutions. • Responsibilities of academic advisors and their roles in helping students in their academic study. • Helping students improve their various academic skills. • Guiding students towards taking proper decisions related to their academic study and future careers. Furthermore, the presenter focused on introducing students to the academic programs at the Faculty and to the rules and regulations on campus. Students were also informed about the importance of discovering their own talents and abilities that can help them achieve their potentials and take full advantage of their faculty members’ expertise in their fields in order to develop their own skills as well as accomplish their goals.
